ARX ARQUITECTOS

Started in Berlin in 1991, ARX Arquitectos is an architect’s bureau located in Lisbon, Portugal. Founded by Jose and Nuno Mateus, both are professional architects as well as academics who have worked for a long time in the world of architecture.

For ARX Arquitectos, the architecture cannot be interpreted directly and does not have a specific language. For them, each project is an attempt to find a new Language in each existing context. Not only that, they try to find a difference and sometimes start from the zero points of both in creating certain innovations. The Maritime Museum in Ilhavo, which is their work, won the Mies van der Rohe award in 2014.

What is the second story about architecture as a language? Worth looking forward to on Wednesday night, Nuno Mateus will present exclusively which is part of a series of digital festivals organized by Anabata.
