Platform ZOOM Webinar
Benjamin Aranda’s architectural journey pays through attention to structures and systems to discover new variations in building design, installation, and furniture that can be constructed as an architectural work. Of course, the above can happen through deep thinking towards a design object and influence from the point of view of the location, socio-culture, and sustainability of the time of work and technology that is part of the development of the situation of the times. These things become a manifestation that is of course the difference of each architect. From 2003 until now, various awards have been won including the United States Artists Award, Young Architects + Designers Award, Design Vanguard Award, AD Innovators, and the Architectural League Emerging Voices Award. His installation work is also a permanent part of MoMA.
Currently, Benjamin Aranda is the principal of Aranda Lasch Together with Chris Lasch and Joaquin Bonifaz located in New York and Tucson, USA. In addition to working as a professional architect, He is also an academic at The Cooper Union. It’s interesting to see how the process of thinking is more in-depth virtually that will be aired as part of the Anabata digital festival series.
